Jan Korinek And Groove is a dynamic band celebrating 25 years of captivating audiences with their fusion of blues, jazz, and soul. Founded by renowned Hammond organist Jan Korinek, the band has become a staple in the music scene with its groovy sound and vibrant performances. Over the years, Korinek has forged powerful musical collaborations, including the soulful Welsh saxophonist Osian Roberts, the electrifying blues guitarist Jiri Marsicek, and his "brother from another mother," drummer Oliver Lipensky. In celebration of their milestone anniversary, the band is elevating their sound with two special guests: Chicago vocalist Chanda Rule and world-renowned percussionist Michito Sanchez. Rule, who has collaborated extensively with Korinek in projects like the Sweet Emma Band and The Gospel Of The Blues, brings a soulful gospel influence, blending perfectly with Korinek’s deep blues roots. Their collaboration on albums such as Hold On showcases a unique fusion of gospel, jazz, traditional spirituals and work songs (Sweet Emma Band) (Jazz Journal).
