Pure solo jazz guitar without effects and loopers. CD release party. Libor Šmoldas is one of Europe's top jazz guitarists. Besides many leading Czech and European musicians, he has worked, toured and recorded with international stars such as bassists Jay Anderson and George Mraz, drummers Jeff Ballard and Adam Nussbaum, organists Sam Yahel and Brian Charette, multi-instrumentalist James Morrison and legendary saxophonist Bobby Watson. Libor has released multiple albums both as a leader and a sideman that stretch from solo guitar to larger ensembles and across a vast variety of jazz genres including his own original music. At the age of 37 Libor is widely considered to be one of the best jazz musicians in Europe and a leading representative of his generation in the Czech Republic. Critics appreciate his smooth, effortless and melodic approach backed by an apparent love of jazz and the audiences he performs for.
