Luboš Soukup Band ft. David Dorůžka & Kamil Slezák
The Luboš Soukup Quartet started its existence in 2011 in Copenhagen. Jazz Dock proudly presents the innovative saxophonist and composer Luboš Soukup accompanied by top Czech musicians, pianist Vítek Křišťan, bass player Jaromír Honzák, and drummer Marek Urbánek. Soukup was nominated by Marilyn Mazur (percussionist of the Miles Davis band) for the prestigious award Talent of the Year which he received from the Danish Music Society in 2017. The quartet has released three CD's to date: two of them—Through the Mirror (2013) and Země (2017)—were chosen in the Czech Radio Survey as The Best Jazz Album of the Year. The band will present compositions from the last album which is in the modern jazz style.
