Jakub Štorek & Noční Optika
The jazz quintet Noční optika and singer-songwriter Jakub Štorek present an extended song band "Zátiší s běláskem a mucholapkou". Simple melodies, original harmonies and Štorek's unpolished speech create an authentic band sound reminiscent of a crackling woody kohlrabi. The Czech and German lyrics are inspired by real stories of real friends and neighbours (perhaps they shouldn't come). Last year, this group released their first Czech album, "Milostné písně", and this year they are finishing work on another album, "Rachitická gorila", and a German single, "Die Quitten und der Mohn".
