O.J. Žlábek Blues Band - album release concert
The blues album Give Someone a Little Hug is an original work of the O.J. Žlábek Band. The lyrics, written by Ondřej Žlábek, are based on life experiences, memories, emotions and the overall atmosphere associated with family and relationships. Their music is inspired by American greats Chicago, New Orleans and Westcoast Blues. Together with the band, the talented singer Lenka Novotná, who also has a significant part in this album, will perform. Other guests such as Charlie Slavik and Marcel Flemr will also perform.
O.J. Žlábek Band is a group of young musicians playing Chicago and West Coast Blues with elements of New Orleans Blues, funk and soul, active mainly on the Prague blues scene since 2018. In 2023 they won the Czech Blues Challenge, which qualified them for the European Blues Challenge 2024, where they had the honour of representing the Czech Republic and competing against the best blues bands in Europe.
