Quintet of the Hot Club de France:Khamoro

Quintet of the Hot Club de France
Khamoro

Tuesday 28/05/2024 from 20:00

Born from the union of five international artists and their love of 1930s music, the new Quintette du Hot Club de France fervently defends the musical style and spirit of the original formation. Like Django and Stéphane Grapelli, the meeting of the Israeli guitarist Duved Dunayevsky, recognized as the natural heir of Django Reinhardt with the Russian virtuoso violinist Daniel Garlitsky was the starting point of this formation. It is not only a question of keeping traditional jazz alive by preserving it, but also of extending its creative heritage. Duved and Daniel are joined on this project by Italian guitarist and singer Andrea Soria, French guitarist Pierre Richeux, and Australian bassist Scott Koehler. This event takes place within the framework of the World Roma Festival Khamoro, which is celebrating its 26th edition this year, organized by Slovo 21, z.s.

Duved Dunayevsky – guitar; Daniel Garlitsky – violin;  Andrea Soria – voice/guitar; Pierre Richeux – guitar; Scott Koehler – double bass.
