We’re bringing you a special series of open air summer concerts on the roof of the Jazz Dock! 

The Blackbird Quartet is the jazz project of vocalist Barbora Kafkova and pianist Dusan Kovacevic, based in Prague and supported by local talent. Each of the founding members bring their own musical influences and experiences into the project: from Barbora’s side, a traditional vocal jazz quartet sound, reminiscent of the recordings of Sarah Vaughan, Anita O’Day and Carmen McRae—and from Dusan’s side, a traditional jazz sound and approach, as well as more modern harmonies and arrangements. Their program is a blend of these two directions, at once deeply rooted in tradition while on a quest to find a place in this day and age. The audience can expect to hear a number of carefully selected jazz standards, some played traditionally, some reharmonized in a modern way, as well as a couple of originals.

Admission - seating: presale CZK 250, at the door CZK 300. Standing (sitting in deckchairs): CZK 200, at the door CZK 250. It is not possible to book specific seats for this concert. No club discounts.
