UNITED ISLANDS OF PRAGUE

Jazz Dock will be traditionally part of summer festival UNITED ISLANDS OF PRAGUE.

Jazz, rock, funk and ska – that is four years of a gym, which trains the Prague´s young seven-member ensemble of three ladies on keyboards and a guitar supporting by the men’s rhythmics and breaths. Their last year’s album Go Away came three years after their timid beginnings and Jezzevec gradually conquering the clubs with the album. But they already played at balls or for example within the event Nalaďte se in a subway station within the lobby of the Museum station. And after their last year’s hilarious concert during the Club Night, Jezzevec comes back in an innovative ensemble this year.

Live electronics which pulsates and breathes. Plus six musicians who do not want to settle for just its passive control. And they are not afraid to sing in Czech. The result is a music that makes you move and float at the same time and that loves to get inspired and does not close itself against anything: whether it’s a break beat, liquid funk or alternative pop. Sometimes it is multi-layered, dreamy, ambient, other times bare and simplified down to the basic beat. Their last year’s successful participation with their first tracks in the Startér show of the Radio Wave or in Velká Sedma of the Radio 1 suggests that this bunch is on the right track.
